Magnolia ‘Margaret Helen’
A cross between M. liliiflora 'Nigra' and M. campbellii subsp. mollicomata 'Bernie Hollard', this combines a compact growth habit with free flowering, the flowers being fairly large and a particularly bright, warm rose-pink. expect a small, upright, well branched tree. A relatively recent intro from New Zealand, bred by Vance Hooper.
