Mahonia moranensis NPT 292

A fine Mexican Mahonia, very rarely seen in gardens, but makes large and fully hardy specimens here and at RHS Wisley for example. This is potentially a large, very full, densely branched shrub, clothed to the ground with particularly attractive, relatively short pinnate foliage with undulate spiny leaflets. Short, dense racemes of fragrant vivid-yellow flowers in spring. Originally from Hidalgo, Mexico.
