Parrotia persica NJM 13.005
A collection from the Hyrkanian forests of Southern Azerbaijan, bordering the Caspian Sea, where the Parrotia all make upright small to medium trees with level branching, unlike most in cultivation, which are squat and spreading. Summer foliage expands with a purple edge and autumn colours are red, orange or yellow. Easy and very hardy in most conditions.
