Sorbus wattii NJM 13.123

Very shiny, rich-green pinnate foliage, pale white-green on the underside, turning to a vibrant deep-red and orange in the autumn. Small white fruit. From 3000m, Nagaland, NE India, growing with Rhododendron macabeanum. Found as a shrub on an exposed ridge, this will be a small tree in cultivation. Often treated as a synonym of S. wallichii, this is quite different and found at a higher altitude.
