A spreading deciduous small shrub from the Far East; one of the Bladder nuts, reaching about 1.5m high. These are seed grown from a plant originally collected from Hallasan, Korea. Dainty panicles of white flowers are borne en-masse in May and June, followed by bi-valved slightly puffed up bladder-like seed pods. The trifoliolate foliage emerges bronzy-red flushed and usually gives good red tints in autumn. For any ordinary soil in sun or semi-shade. Hardy.
