The Kneeling Angelica is one of the most bizarre and amazing foliage plants I know, with the central axis of the large compound foliage turning back on itself etc, etc, forming completely angular shapes, but with the multiple leaflets held horizontal. Mad. Large white umbels on strong stems to 2.6m in August. Native to both W. USA, the Aleutian Islands and across to E. Russia, Korea and Japan; the latter country providing the original material from which my plants derive. Hardy, for any reasonable soil in sun or semi-shade.
