Athyrium niponicum var. pictum ‘Apple Court’
A form of the classic Japanese painted fern with the usual silver-grey and mauve-purple colouring, but with the ends of the fronds and some pinnae crested. Best in a semi-shaded site in leafy soil, not too dry, where it will spread slowly. Height 35cm. I'm not sure how different this is to 'Cristatoflabellatum'.
