Baptisia ‘Lemon Meringue’

Mounds of blue-green foliage topped with many vertical spires of dark slate-purple buds opening to lemon-yellow pea flowers in summer, usually over a three week period. The dark seed pods provide winter interest. Height 80cm. A long lived tightly clump forming perennial, resenting disturbance once planted due to its deep roots, so pick the right spot! For a sunny position in a well drained soil. Hardy and drought tolerant.
