Isoplexis sceptrum

The spectacular Madeiran tree foxglove is surprisingly tough, regularly being frosted in my polytunnels, but only suitable for permanent outdoor planting in the mildest areas. An evergreen shrub with bright green luscious foliage and striking terminal heads of large burnt orange foxglove flowers in June. Best in a large pot placed in deep shade in summer.
