Ophiopogon planiscapus f. leucanthus

A rarely offered white flowered form of Mondo grass, which isn't of course a grass at all, but instead a dwarf evergreen herbaceous perennial in the Asparagus family from Japan. Plant in groups to make a slowly spreading carpet of narrow evergreen foliage with short spikes of white flowers in summer, followed by blue-black berries in autumn. A fine ground cover for shade, semi-shade or even some sun. Drought tolerant, this is best in reasonably well drained soil. Height 20cm.
