Tilia henryana ‘Arnold Select’

A fine selection from the USA of this highly desirable Chinese lime, growing comparatively strongly and upright, with a healthy, full, rounded crown, making a medium sized tree. Very distinct and exceptionally beautiful foliage emerges softly hairy and carmine tinged, expanding through deep reddish-orange to glossy green with very conspicuous bristle like teeth. Autumn flowering with lots of sweetly scented flowers. The foliage on this clone has particularly prominent veins.
